atlantic canada has a long history of neo-fascist activity. from the existence of a ku klux klan chapter in every new brunswick county in the early 1900s, to the recent cross burning on the lawn of a black family in moncton, racist terror remains strong. neo-nazi activity has been reported in nova scotia, pei, new brunswick and newfoundland, and the spread of these movements is in part due to lack of community awareness.
